Making a donation in memoriam is a meaningful and powerful way to honour your child, friend or loved one.
In Memory Gift
When making your donation, please include the full name of the tribute recipient. If you would like us to notify their next of kin of your gift, make sure you also include the next of kin’s full name and mailing address. We will promptly mail a letter to the nominated individual or family letting them know about your gift, but not specifying the donation amount unless you request us to. You will receive a tax receipt and your donation will be fully tax-deductible.
You may wish to ask family and friends to make a donation to the Kids Cancer Support Group instead of sending flowers, in recognition of the medical care, support services and attention provided to your loved one who has recently passed away.
Kids Cancer Support Group has an in-memoriam donation envelope which can be given to families and their Funeral Director on request. These envelopes are distributed at the funeral service to those interested in supporting the family’s wishes. Money collected at the funeral is forwarded to Kids Cancer Support Group by either the family or the Funeral Director within days of the service. Donations can also be sent via the post from those who have collected an envelope at the funeral service and wish to make a subsequent donation.
To receive a supply of in-memoriam Kids Cancer Support Group donation envelopes to be made available at the funeral, please ask your Funeral Director to contact us.
This is our suggested wording for an obituary or other tribute:
In lieu of flowers, donations to Kids Cancer Support Group would be greatly appreciated. Donations can be made by visiting our donation page on everyday heros website http://www.everydayhero.com.au/event/kcsgfundraising
