Here at Kids Cancer Support Group, we love to make a difference in the lives of our 1A kids and families. We’re always on the lookout for new ways to create special memories. It’s this constant search for great new ideas that has led us to introduce KCSG Kicks.
Our KCSG Kicks Project was originally inspired by our friends at Peach’s Neet Feet, an npf Project in the US who we have had the privilege of working with and who now fully support our own kicks program here in WA.
The basis of our KCSG Kicks project is to donate a hand-painted pair of canvas shoes to a child in cancer treatment here in WA. The idea is that these unique shoes should reflect each child’s personality, tell their own individual story, and represent the personal road that they travel.
‘One step at a time’ is our KCSG Kicks message. And so, with these words in mind, we hope these traveling shoes will help to inspire and empower each child to face every new challenge and celebrate every milestone whilst wearing their unique ‘magic’ traveling shoes.
We thank Converse for their support and commitment to donating to our project and our wonderful talented artists for donating their time and ‘art and sole’ to each pair of shoes that they lovingly paint.
