Aims of KCSG

Kids Cancer Support Group is all-encompassing support ensuring we include the whole family. We not only recognise the impact that being diagnosed with cancer has on the child and the parents, but also the flow-on effect on siblings.

The primary aims of KCSG are:

  • to improve the quality of life of children diagnosed with cancer, leukaemia or blood disorders and their families;
  • to improve conditions, treatment facilities and the quality of care available for children diagnosed with cancer, leukaemia or blood disorders;
  • to provide information related to childhood cancer, leukaemia or blood disorders;
  • to provide social activities for families, bearing in mind the constraints of children undergoing treatment;
  • to address the issue of siblings of children diagnosed with cancer, leukaemia or blood disorders;
  • to support the parents and grandparents of children diagnosed with cancer, leukaemia or blood disorders;
