Membership

KCSG has always been operated by parents for the families impacted by childhood cancer and blood disorders in Western Australia. This provides the organisation with a unique value proposition, the empathy and understanding of those who have walked this difficult path.
In order to maintain this ethos, it is a requirement under our constitution that those who apply for membership and obtain voting rights are immediate family of children who have been diagnosed with cancer or blood disorders. You are also required to submit a personal membership nomination form and provide evidence of your eligibility for membership.

How membership works

Becoming a member is a great way to get more involved and help shape the charity, there may be opportunities to assist via subcommittees or to contribute in a meaningful way that fits your individual skillset to help further our objectives.

The Directors will consider each application in the order received, as a volunteer organisation please allow up to 90 days for your application to be assessed. The directors may at this time:

  • accept or reject the application;

  • or ask the applicant to give more evidence of eligibility for membership.

Responsibilities of members

Membership allows you one vote on any resolution at any general meeting of Kids Cancer Support Group either in person or by proxy, however there is no obligation to vote.
Being a member requires you to support the objectives and mission of KCSG and abide by our code of conduct.

You can apply for membership via the nomination form below. If you need to discuss your application, please contact us at admin@kcsg.org.au.
